I beg to differ with you Clifton. The Conservative Daily Wire has been producing stellar movies: Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, Run, Hide, Fight, Terror on the Prairies, What Is A Woman, Shut In and the blockbuster, Am I A Racist. Also Angel Studios is doing amazing things with the retelling of Bible and historical stories for kids. But also Angel Studios produced the blockbuster Sound of Freedom, and titles that reach across the age spectrum such as Lost on a Mountain in Maine, Rule Breakers, Cabrini, Bonhoeffer, the series Homestead, The Lunatic Farmer many animated movies such as David. Angel Studios has so many projects going at the moment, doing amazing things. I know I’m an investor. Plus the Tuttle Twins are hugely successful with their educational series of films for kids.

There’s much that’s going on out there and you would be such a a fantastic addition to any of these projects with your talents.

I’d love to know what you think of these endeavors.

I’m genuinely curious, you liked my post, but it feels a little patronizing. Is it because you don’t see any of these endeavors as real “Art”, Clifton? I could be mistaken of course I will stand corrected if that’s the case.

I didn't have time to respond right then.

I'm a fan of Angel Studios.

My issue with other outlets is that they're often the other side of the coin--ideologically driven work made solely to appeal to "the other side" or to "own the libs."

Well, give it time, let’s see how they do. It’s a tough business as you know. However, you could always change things with a different viewpoint. Tell them what you think. Those who come up with the infrastructure often don’t have the best artistic bent, do they.

Glad you like Angel Studios, I have hopes for them. Not to make money exactly, though that would be nice, but to produce good work.

"Those who come up with the infrastructure often don’t have the best artistic bent, do they."

I've always joked that if I were to start a theatre I'd want it run by responsible conservatives so that I and the other free-spirited liberal artists can just focus on playing pretend.

Love this! My business partners and I are actually working on adding a theater to our office building, so we can do this exact thing. It will be nice to produce performances of known classics in a traditional manner. We’re also hoping to build an incubator for new artistic ideas to be developed and staged. I think live entertainment is on the precipice of a shift just like music and video has taken with the onset of technology. People clearly want live and in-person experiences. Conservatives need to start now or they will find themselves behind the culture curve once again.

That's fantastic that you're building a new space.

My sense is that premium live entertainment can really be in demand as the world becomes more and more digitized. I also think that emphasizing the classics might be a gateway into reaching young men in particular.

Clifton! I subscribed just so I could leave you this comment (though I am thoroughly glad to support you with a few bucks your way)! We actually have met before, at the FtS screening in Orlando, and had a good talk. I'm so glad you have rediscovered your creative passion and found your way back to performing (Sowell project)!

Re: the topic at hand...

I hear you loud and clear! I've also recognized this. And I am one of the few people taking the requisite action in the world of the arts (particularly with filmmaking). I have years of experience, a physical studio building, and new projects on the horizon. Too much to type/reveal in this post, but I am looking to connect and collaborate with others similarly aligned.

Feel free to reach out!

When I was halfway thru Clifton's diatribe I realized he's never heard of the Daily Wire and has no idea what they're doing. Ditto Angel Studios. And while Adam Carolla isn't an avowed conservative, he works with conservatives, often speaks for them, appeals to them, and participates with them in CULTURALLY pertinent and CREATIVE projects. The same applies to the dozens of anti-woke comedians who guest on Carolla's podcast, many of whom act, direct, write, and do inventive standup.

Hi Irwin,

I'm a fan of Angel Studios.

As for never having heard of DW, I've been on Andrew Klavan's show, and he's also been a guest on the Clifton Duncan Podcast. DW have been extremely savvy and successful in producing work that appeals to a particular audience.

The difficulty there is in pigeonholing themselves as being on one side of the aisle (which I don't feel Angel Studios does). I'm also not a fan of "anti-woke," as I think it's reactionary and will lose relevance as quickly as what "Progressives" are producing now...if it's not already outdated.

Personally I don't care about "conservative" art or "liberal" art...I care about great American art and culture, and am frustrated that there aren't more conservatives putting skin in the game...AS and DW can only do so much.

All that said I appreciate your comment.
