A Look Back at #GamerGate.

@Mister Metokur  , aka "Jim", is a content creator with a gift for exploring (and savagely mocking) niche internet subcultures.

In the summer of 2014, under the pseudonym "The Internet Aristocrat", Metokur posted a video called "Quinnspiracy Theory" that went viral and kicked off a strange and convoluted controversy that came to be known as #GamerGate.

Living at the nexus of popular entertainment, internet culture, journalistic ethics, and "Progressive" Identity Politics, the kerfuffle ended up becoming a national story, still referenced by journalists to this day (nearly a decade later), and served as a preview of the Culture Wars that seem so pervasive now.
